Boot camp - sounded like a good idea πŸ˜‚

So, my next run is W7R3. I'm feeling fitter, more energetic and stronger. Cto5K has given me the motivation to work on building some muscle, so been doing arm and core work outs on my non run days, as well as leg strengthening exercises to aid the running, which I'm loving so much.

Had an idea that I wanted to add in a different type of exercise and decided to join a boot camp that is on once a week. With a view to doing it instead of a run (it's high impact so figured I should leave a day between bootcamp and running). It's something I've always wanted to try but never had the confidence not felt fit enough. First session this morning...WOW. killer πŸ˜‚ so satisfying to do but man alive my legs πŸ˜‚....so grateful to this programme it really has changed my life. 😁

I do a lot of those exercises you described in your post TrixabelleB, but I don't fancy a boot camp, your word describes it, 'killer' at least at home I can do those exercises in my own time, no person screaming at me to continue, perhaps because of those exercises I did, I had no problems during my 9 weeks of C25K training.

It was killer in a really satisfactory way πŸ˜‚. But it was definitely wise to choose to leave a day in-between either side fur a run.

I have made it a personal principle to avoid anything that can be accurately termed β€œkiller”!

Killer can be good, especially the way I use the word πŸ˜‰. It was so much fun, but definitely pushed me, I was careful not to go crazy, the guy was happy for everyone to go at their own pace, and each exercise had a "softer" version. It was also really good to do something with other people because I prefer to run alone, and my exercises on no run days are at home alone.
