A late post from me today. I got home late last night and was out a little later than I wanted to be and boy.....it was already hot!
I went to the little park (but as you can see, it’s not so little) and for the first time, I decided to take refuge running on the grass, as close to the trees as I could, for shade. The sun was so intense running on the path, it just seemed like the best solution. I am starting to feel like the park is a bit small to keep running round anyway (which in some senses is quite amazing!). But, due to the later start and promising to take my son to school (mistake - thinking like I’m Wonder Woman here ☺️!), I didn’t want to go too far out today. Definitely need to find some different routes (with shade).
No hungry dogs, but I did have a slow motion bionic woman impressionist today! 🙄 Where do they come from? In this heat love...I feel lucky that I’m moving at all! “Good morning” and a wave from me! See ya! As usual......don’t care, I’m out there and I did it! I can’t say it was poetic, as my breathing seemed a bit heavier, but it was comfortable. I feel fairly confident that I can do 2 minutes more!
I’m definitely going to try to get out earlier or leave it until the evening. Today has felt a bit manic, fitting it all in, but I did it and that’s enough! ❤️

Thanks Visionon! They still make me smile though! Running has taken away all fears of what people think. Young, old, cats, dogs, cows, horses and flies! I’ve encountered them all and I’m still running!
I went to change my new running shoes today too Visionon! I decided there was just something about them that didn’t feel right! New ones are cheaper too! One more run in W8, Saturday. I honestly can’t believe that I’m being so particular about running shoes and I’m almost at the W9 finale runs! 😱❤️
Now you’re asking 😳, I had to go grab them to look! Nike Dual Tone Racer! 🤷🏽♀️ I’m absolutely rubbish at trainers. I’ve never worn them unless they’re converse or there’s been sport (at school) or the odd stint at the gym exercise involved, so excuse the lack of knowledge. Hopefully it will set my running world on fire! ❤️
Looking cool, I just checked them out on the interweb! I love new trainers, always have done, I find it's a bit like looking at cars, love cars as well... It might me a man thing...

Made me smile when you said your park was feeling small as I was thinking the same as I ran around the same bit three times just to stay in the shade and yet in my previous life (before running ) I thought it was huge! Keep running!👏🏃🏆👍
Thanks Teddly! Yes, I never even looked beyond the trees from the path to even notice how big the park really is. Hence the “little park” name I have always given it for 16 years. 😊 Graduation is close now Teddly! Looking forward to congratulating you too! ❤️
The end of C25K comes so quickly doesn't it? One second you're just starting, struggling to run for a minute, then in a flash you're doing 30 minutes. Shocking really!! But brilliant too - we're all mad runners here, and we love it - it's crazy 🎉
It was very hot indeed, I did my run at 9:30 am today as there was no other time in the day that I could have done it, so completely understand the need to run in the shade. Luckily for me almost the whole path is covered under trees, just a small stretch of a km is directly under the sun and even that was unbearable today.
What a lovely looking park! Have you had a think about routes for week 9 and beyond yet? I go to bed the night before a run deciding where to go and then wake up going through it in my head
