Wow, 10K in this kind of heat is something of an achievement! Congratulations on finishing - it doesnโt matter at all whether you think you were โslowโ or not. Youโve made it! ๐๐๐๐

Amazing, well done!!!itโs what I would love to be able to do after C25K!
Thanks ๐ well if I can do it why shouldnโt you? Iโm still in denial a bit about it all, I never thought c25k would work for me, never thought Iโd be able to run at all let alone 30mins. Now Iโm slow but Iโm able to run for nearly 2 hours. Just follow the program and you will be able to as well.
Wow 10k in this heat that's just fab or crazy even, no that's fab ๐I done 5k charity run this afternoon and honestly doubt I could of attempted any longer so well done you ๐๐

Wow Lainey that's brilliant!! A big well done, you must be feeling over the moon
Thatโs so amazing. Well done! I was looking at doing a 10k in April as a challenge for myself but havenโt even got to 5k yet. How soon after completing the programme did you decide to do the 10k?
I did c25k twice, once a couple of years ago, I completed it but then my father became ill and I became very busy caring for him. But last year I started again in September and completed in November, I kept going, running 3 times a week and decided to sign up for the 10k in February. I got up to 6k by March and then my dad died and my training got put on hold. Three weeks ago I started training again and was running 7k and walking 3k to cover the 10k last week. Next year I am intending to be ready to run the whole 10k! Then maybe the year after 1/2 marathon??? Maybe Iโm being optimistic but there you have it๐
I think though generally the recommendation is to increase the length of your runs by no more than 10% each week, I think anyway, maybe one of the more experienced runners will be able to say if thatโs right.
