Week 2 Day 1

So after almost a week not running/walking due to enjoying the glorious Scottish sunshine and my week off, I have just completed week 2/day 1 of C25K. I feel so much fitter and in two weeks I have lost 2lbs. I pretty much follow the plan then I walk the rest of the way, which results in around 3.5 miles total 3 x a week. I don’t feel out of breath, (which is great for me as it used to be so difficult to even walk up hills etc) it’s the shin splints on my right leg. I clearly have to work on my posture and I’m putting too much pressure on my right leg. I currently have running shoes, but I haven’t been to a specialist running place, as I want to see how I get on following the plan for a month then consider it. I am known for not sticking to things lol. About to stretch and enjoy lunch. Happy Saturday everyone!!! Xx

I think you are wise not to rush in to expensive shoes but I’d encourage you not to leave it too long either. There are some longer runs in the weeks ahead and it could be that you need a certain shoe type and would benefit from a change. Enjoy the next run.
