One photo of a very hot and sweaty me with a face the same colour as my shirt after my final run of the programme π
I had planned to run some where a bit more scenic for my graduation run but the grave yard has been my friend for weeks and I enjoy its peacefulness (no pun intended).
I didnβt pace the run well from the off, running my first K in 4.90 mins and I knew then that bouncing along like skippy was going to make the rest hard .. and it did.. arduous is how it felt , but I knew that if Simon could do it with a dicky stomach then Amanda could do it with out passing out on a grave stone!!
I became so hot at one point I thought my face was peeling off and negative thoughts started to creep in, should have got up earlier , should have drunk more water, why donβt you stop and do it tomorrow know one will know . But I would know and being part of this community of runners and reading all the encouraging post over the past few weeks has made me feel that I would be letting all of you down if i stopped, so on I trudged.
I didnβt quite get to 5k, 4.87 k , but , not bad for a 54 year old who really was in love with her couch and box sets during the winter and spring time.
Im actually looking forward to the consolidation runs as I am going to branch out and try lots of different routes and be brave about hills and will give the park run a whirl in September.
Thank you all again for being so funny and inspirational ππππ

Welcome to the graduate club, and hope you enjoy your consolidation rubs, all you fine people talking about finding new routes is challenging my boring status quo, will have to give it some thought

Oh lovely photo! Big congrats on completing the programme, especially in a graveyard π Awesome. You've got a cracking pace, especially in the heat. Well done on not giving into those gremlins who whisper sweet nothings in your ear. You showed them how it's done π
Wow! How did you survive 4.9 mins for the 1st k?! Think I might have passed out at that point π Huge well done for finishing the programme. Congratulations π πΎππππββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ
