I'm on week 9 now and would like to try a different route, but unsure if my new ideas will be too far. Is there an app or website which you can kind of 'draw' the route out onto the map and it calculates how far that would be?
Hope that makes sense!?!
Thanks

Have a look at either Strava or MapMyRun. Both are free. You can plan routes on both of them and they give you total distance. Might take a few goes until you're happy with them, but they're used by a lot of people on here.
Remember to unclick 'auto follow roads' if you run on paths and trails. You can also choose to show elevation as well - that way you don't get caught out by unexpected hills if you are in unfamiliar territory.
I started using it during c25k to work out how far I had run afterwards and found it's great for that because you can use satellite view. So after my 5 min warm up walk I'd note a landmark, such as a big tree, do the same at the end and then I'd be able to accurately measure my start and end points. I've also used it to create routes in advance and I find it works really well.
You can follow roads or go off piste and you can also view elevation. I haven't used the others suggested above, so I can't say that this is better but it works for me
I find it excellent if you want to tailor your run to a certain distance. In my case I found a track about 5 mins run from where I live that runs beside a stream that I never knew was there. Now instead of cars & traffic lights I have birds & squirrels for company.
Completely free to use. I at 1st use to plot a route then save it to my pictures file on computer using snipping tool. Now I have registered, free, I save it on the site.
