Completed this run tonight. The first 15 mins were hell, my legs did not want to cooperate! Settled into it and enjoyed the second half. Any tips on getting through the tough starts?

I don't think there's any magic here. There's a pretty well-know phenomenon called "The Toxic 10". When you start running it takes a while for your breathing to push enough oxygen through to all that blood that's suddenly rushing around your system. When you're body stabilises that's when you feel better halfway through.
Just take it slower to start with so your blood flow and oxygen supply can synch up and shake hands. Other than that, it's part of the Hell on Earth we've suddenly started to find so richly enjoyable
Agree with all the above. Keep it as slow as you can for that first 10 minutes. Good luck, only 2 more runs to graduation ππ
Some runs are just like that.. the Toxic Ten can become the Toxic however long, and then sometimes be non existent...
Just relax... pull back, take it slower than usual and just move on gently. Let the new running legs do what they have been doing...let them just carry you along.
You are doing just fine.. rest up, get some stretching in there and then head out and enjoy the next two runs
Thanks for all the advice guys π
