Hi everyone any advice greatly received! I got as far as w5r1 then had to go away for most of that week for work beginning of May and have unfortunately got out the routine of running. I was feeling so proud for getting as far as I had but the thought of going back to the beginning has left me feeling deflated. I have attempted to start back again but struggling with motivation. Any advice on how to get back going again please? Many thanks x

Get your kit out ready and when you get up/get home, put it on and walk out the door. No umming or ahhing. Nike -just do it. It’s the only way.
I've been there I missed two weeks plus after completing week 6 , tried week 7 run 1 on Tuesday and could barely manage 10 mins. Tonight I went to the gym and managed run one , 25 mins , it was just sheer determination and a steady pace , I was shattered after it but elated...get back in at level you feel comfortable and go again keep believing and you Will do it....

Treat yourself to something new for running. Eg new running top or new new music for playlist. Then you will have to run or you’ve wasted your money.
Focus on your reasons for running. I’m not running because I need to know I can be 5km away in 30 minutes time! I run to lose weight and get fit to play with my kids and hopefully live longer to maybe see some grandkids one day. The running is just the means to that end. If you’ve got your reasons sorted it won’t matter where you are in the program. You will always be working towards them.
Also remember: the only time you fail is when you stop trying. There is no such thing as a failed run. Even if you don’t complete a programmed run you still did some, and that’s better than nothing.
So get out there and like Jay says - just do it!
