What a beautiful morning for a run, breezy and sunny, ran along the bank of the canal, its great to get away from the traffic and the exhaust fumes, although I did have to avoid 2 packs (not sure of the collective term) of fierce geese on route who all stuck their tongues out a hissed at me :-). I was a little apprehensive this morning because at the end of Week 6 run 3 (Monday), I managed to hurt my achilles tendon, so made sure that I stretched before starting and luckily it seems OK, I was fully expecting to be in pain again. I think a major part of running regularly is getting your muscles and tendons used to the pounding, hopefully mine is beginning to get used to it. Because of my achilles I set out to run more slowly today, somehow I still managed to run 5.1K in 25 minutes, I know I should slow things down, taking the advice of previous graduates of this programme, but I just seem to get into a rhythm, admittedly though the last 5 minutes are tough.
Hope everyone else has a great run today, cheers!

I didn't enjoy my first 28min run, I felt I never really found my stride the whole way through so struggled. run 2 was much better and didn't actually seem any longer than the previous week that I'd got used to, hope the next jump next week is the same...
