W1R1... Well rest day today

Hi, I'm on week 1 and on an 'active recovery day'. Did r1 yesterday and did my usual exercise today. My thighs really ache/burn, a little bit of pain in my right shin but not too bad. Surprised how much of your body is used, really thought lower body, but my abs ache like I've done lots of crunches! I'm not very fit but I did start exercising properly 4 months ago and I have the bug. Can't believe I've started running (well mainly walking so far!).

Welcome to c25k. Yes you will be pleased with the changes to your body over the next 9 weeks. I seem to have a waist again which I’m very pleased about. With Pilates and running the core is definitely strengthened.

Good luck with your running. Take it nice and slowly and enjoy. You will be sent a useful link from our wonderful mentors.
