I walked this route yesterday. It seemed quite flat... it isn't. The whole route was either up or down! A mix of tracks along the river and quiet road. Was hard to judge pace going up or down so much and we were faster than usual! Enjoyed it! I think everyone was watching football as we had the paths to ourselves! Got back to see England score their 2nd goal!βš½πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

Totally get this! You don't know there's a hill on your route, no matter how often you take it, until you run it. 😁 The small incline that isn't worthy of mentioning becomes a Munro suddenly.

My husband says they aren't hills. I say yes they are!! He only walks them!

Lovely to read that you enjoyed it. Long may that continue. I certainly agree that hills make a massive difference.

They do. But I'm not avoiding them now! πŸ˜€

I live in an area where there are lots of up and downs! The railway line has been the only reasonably flat place to run! Now trying new routes and that means inclines! β›°

Well done Ang. Glad you had a good run despite the hills. What doesn't kill us makes us stronger right?! β›°β›°β›°

Great timing! All of the joy, none of the pain! ⚽️

Wish I’d gone out until injury time!

Congrats on a successful run! I expect those hills sprang up after you’d walked the route!
