Hi all. New here and have survived week one! Does anyone have advice about pain in the Achilles’ tendon?I’ve had problems with it for a few months and Physio doesn’t help much. She said I was ready to give c25k a go but I’m worried it’s going to get worse as the running times increase. Thanks

My only running injury was a "tweaked" Achilles (no, that is not a technical term)
Eccentric heel drops and rest were my solution, with a gait analysis and good quality shoes following on soon after.
Take it easy. Follow the advice in the guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5... about pace and just go very slowly.
If your physio is not much help then nothing beats doing your own research on the internet (runnersworld.com is a good place to start).
Four years on from my injury I have had no further problems.
Take care.
Thanks. Will give the heel drops a go. I had gait analysis and good shoes done 2 yrs ago when I did c25k before. Had to stop running because I had surgery and then took too long getting back into it .... Had no Achilles problems before. Do you think I should go back to have gait checked again?
