No average speed.. we are all different... just follow the plan..keep your pace comfortable and relaxed. Steady and slow as you move onward
Check this post out too, if you have not already.. so much useful advice there
This is an off the shelf plan designed to be used by all. The focus is on building your fitness over a couple of months so you can run 30 mins non-stop. What speed you run to achieve that is individual to you.
If I have understood correctly, you can already jog 12km/h for 30 mins then you are already busting this programme - that is a 6km run in 30 mins and the aim is just to run for 30 mins at any speed. Few make it to 5km in that time but you can already do 6km...
That's really fast. My average speed today (week 5 run 3) was 7.1km/h.
It sounds like you don't really need to do C25K, since the programme is about building up stamina to enable participants to run for 30 minutes.
If you are totally new to running it would still be worth following some form of progressive training plan to ensure that you don't do too much too soon, as it takes many months for resilience to develop in a new runner's legs.
As has been said, C25K is not about pace, but stamina. If you decide to move on from C25K then this post, healthunlocked.com/couchto5... which is designed for C25K graduates, may give you some pointers for the future.
Thank you All, it's clear for me now what is output from C25K.
