W5R3 - crashed out

Literally. Last Sunday I was scheduled to do W5R3. On Thursday a London bus driver decided to conduct a side experiment to see if it was possible to launch passengers as surface-to-air missiles, and sent me and another passenger flying up the aisle to the front of the bus. I hit the driver's cab and front window with my head and shoulder, resulting in concussion and a snapped left humerus head.

After a few days of police, ambulances, hospitals and various medical followups, it became clear that this will be long recovery, and no one seems willing to guess just how long. Equal parts painful, depressing and annoying. I'd only just found this forum. To those who were at the same stage as me, good luck and hope you keep pushing on, I'll be back as soon as I can, although I guess it will be back to W1R1 for me (minimum time I've got anyone to even vaguely mention was 3 months outage).

Oh no! You poor thing. How bloody frustrating for you! I’m so sorry you are in pain and hope you get well and back on the programme as soon as you safely & sensibly can. Listen to your drs advice, take the time you & your body need and come back fighting sweetie 💪😘

What a literal pain!! Get your doctor to confirm. There's loads of other exercises you can do just to keep your fitness and spirits up. Try not to let it get you down! 🤞
