Hi Guys, I’ve just finished W3R1 and I’m super chuffed I’ve got this far. My wee body is aching but I’m determined to do this! I seem to be struggling intermittently with arch pain in my left foot when I’m jogging along. It does pass eventually but I’m thinking that I perhaps need to get the right trainers as I’m not sure my trusty old Nike Air are the best choice. Any recommendations? 👣👣

The best trainers are the ones that are right for you. Recommend getting gait analysis from a good sports shop. The link below has info on all sorts of FAQs incl gait analysis

healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Also see "Related Topics" to the right of the page - full Health Unlocked c25k site, may not show if just using the app.

Needn't cost a fortune, tell the shop your budget, but as you a thinking - right shoes make all the difference. Don't forget to show us a picture of the new beauties when you get them.

Gait analysis is the way to go. I was amazed when I went to the shop, I got nearly an hour of individual expert attention, and was thinking 'this is going to cost', but actually they gave me a discount on the shoes they recommended and wouldn't let me buy the more expensive ones that felt more comfy.

And they were right. The new shoes have made a huge difference.

Went to my local independent place, gait analysis done and a few options provided. Went home very happy with a pair of Saucsony Rides.

You don't choose running shoes... They choose you! I was almost an hour having a gait analysis and trying about 20 different pairs on. .. it came down to one pair in the entire shop that were right for me! Not cheap at £110 but wow! What a difference to run in and worth every penny if it means I can graduate and continue running without injury! Happy shopping 😁
