No weight lost but exercising and watching calories

Hi, not to long ago I started watching my calorie intake and I started to lose a good bit of weight but now that I have started the C25K I’ve not been losing weight just staying the same. I heard it’s due to muscle mass or whatever since I’ve started running but I’d just like someone to clear this up for me. Thank you

No, it is not due to muscle mass since starting C25k. You do not gain muscle mass from running. You are no longer in caloric deficit. What is your target deficit, and how many calories are you having a day? Check your data entry, it is almost always just soe minor omissions which add up.

Hi, doing c25k will probably only start to tone your muscles, so you may notice that, as for losing weight you may or may not, depends on how much weight you have to lose, I only lost about 7lb on c25k but wasn't hugely overweight, weight loss should show more after graduation and running constantly at least 3 times a week, and of course a good calorie controlled diet. Did you know drinking water also helps to shift the weight and is also nessacary to keep well hydrated all of the time during c25k..

I would say the first 6 weeks of C25k will build your fitness and strength. You’ll then start to tone up with the longer runs and may lose weight if in calorie deficit as Rignold says.

Good luck with your runs. 😊
