My first run in a month. Took it gentle, did only 2.37k, but it went fine. Was a bit nervous that I would have to start again. Will now build up to 5k again. I think the biggest problem I have, I think, is I get bored. Have been trying to work out why I don't love it yet, might be boredom, even with having different routes. I so want to love running.

I feel similar. I’m on week 9 and not looking forward to being out on my own without Laura or MJ. Up until Monday I ran with a group of other ladies once a week which was a great motivation and company but that course has now finished. I now need to keep my mojo up. An improvers course or Park Run where I also have company once a week. However once I’m home again I feel great so it’s all worth it. Keep it up we will probably feel better when our running is smoother and more consistent

You sound exactly the same as me. I want to love it but don’t. I get bored too even though I change routes every week. I’ve joined a running club for something different.

Thank you for replying to my post. I feel relieved that I am not the only one that gets bored. Shame I can't watch something whilst running, that might help boredom.

I just keep to my 3 runs a week and hope I’ll love it eventually. Do you do the ParkRun? I love that. Have you got targets? My first was 10k. Now it’s a sub 30 5k. The targets keep me motivated. Oh and I’ve signed up for the local 5 and 10k and the colour run.

Hi FFTB, I think of my runs as me time, adjusting my pace and feeling my way as I run...

Recording the runs on Strava, so that you can look at your stats afterwards, and maybe sharing kudos with other c25kers is a nice incentive too.. you can set the privacy settings if you are running from home.

Just recently I have given the Zombiesrun! free app a go, this is quite fun as they chat to you as the story unravels...

Good luck getting back out there, you can always come and join the Quest on the Bridge to 10k site, you will be very welcome!

Happy running 😊 x
