I’m almost 62 and spent the past 20 years with little or no exercise. I weighed in at almost 21 stone....I know disgusting. Well that was 2 years ago I now weigh 14st and am into my 5th week on Couch to 5k and loving it. My goal is a 5k run and maybe even longer.

Well done, that’s amazing progress. Keep going. I booked to do a race for life 5k run in a few weeks to make sure I don’t give up.

Thanks Nickykd,

You will have to let us know how you get on in your 5k run. I can’t wait to enter one but I know I have to go through the program.

Thank you Helenwheels,

It took me a while but I realised the change was needed 🤙

That's really incredible Vaubow . Keep going. You'll have ups and down, good runs and bad runs, but it's all essential training to get you to 5K.

Hi. I'm not so bad - W1R3 completed yesterday but pins and needles on sole left foot have prompted shopping for running shoes after gait assessment. Thought I'd nip any problems in the bud before next run tomorrow 😊

Hi wagshaz how is your running going? How are the new running shoes? I have just completed week 7 and entered my first 5k run in July!
