Time or Distance

Hello All.

I am really proud to be able to run 20 minutes outside and so tried the treadmill for the 25 minute one....I was really disappointed to see I was way below the 5k in this time. I dont think I am really slow...steady jogging really. Do I worry about the time or distance??

Thank you!

Most people don't get to 5k after 30 mins at first, in my case if ever! I'll be short of 5k when I graduate next week. Time is the most important. You ran for 25 mins!

Thank you! I was so proud to start with then felt that I hadn't really done it!

Couch to 5k is a bit misleading! It's couch to 30 mins. 5k is a goal for me in the future! I'm just amazed I can run for 28 mins! Good luck !

I’m nowhere near 5k and I graduate next run. That’s my first target for “next”.

Enjoy your next run.

Hi I've completed week 9 and been running for nearly 2 weeks after graduating and I still don't run 5k it's about running for 30mins so keep at it I will hopefully get to 5k that's my aim 😁🏃x
