W1 done

Hi everyone. My name's Kate and I've completed week 1 of the C25K app. However, I found it all a bit of a struggle. Am I best to repeat W1 until I can do it comfortably or should I press on and try W2? Thanks!

No go straight to wk2, if u have completed the runs even though they were a struggle just move on to the next, im on wk6 and i have struggled with every run but never repeated one. X

Hi Kate, well done for completing week 1! I actually felt that week 1 was one of the hardest weeks, not least because of the mental challenge, and also the physical shock to the system.

I found week 1 hard too, but went onto week 2 without repeating anything. Guess what? I found week 2 hard too, but I did it! As the weeks progressed and my fitness improved, I found the step up between weeks less of a challenge. So I reckon it's probably worth trying the first run of week 2 and see how you get on. As long as you keep having your rest days, you should be fine. Just don't run too fast, which is a mistake I still make now sometimes! Even if your run is not much faster than walking pace, that's fine. Speed will come in time, but it doesn't even matter if it doesn't :)

You're doing great, I'm sure we'd all love to know how you get on.

All the best, Neil

I found week 1 the worst (now on week 3). Move on to week 2 would be my advice. It's tough, but then anything worthwhile is tough!

I moved onto week 2 this morning. Felt really anxious but it was fine. Still just plodded and could barely breath, but it was fine... honest!!! X

I’ve found every week hard but not repeated them! I swear in my thoughts at Michael every time he ups the running time!!!

I did it! W2R1 done - very hot and the high pollen count didn't help but I got there! Thanks everyone 😊
