I have never thought about running, but when things took a wrong turn with my health I could see danger and hence decided to give running a try. I did well today, despite the fact that I wanted to give in I finished my first day, successfully.

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

The guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Enjoy your journey.

Well done you 🙂 by the end of the summer you’ll be signing up for 10ks and getting grumpy if you can’t get out for a planned run! Don’t say you weren’t warned! 🙂🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏼‍♀️

When we old crumblies started, that minute run nearly killed us. If someone had said that in a few weeks we would be running for five minutes, we would have laughed between gasps for breath! But here we are, running 28 minutes in week 8 and still breathing! In fact, we do actually run for the 30 minutes that we have to do next week, but always make sure of a cool down. You WILL surprise yourself.

It's can be hard at the start, but take it slowly and you will soon have the bug. I still can't believe I've managed it... You will too . Happy running
