After the trials of W6 R1 & R2....R3 was pretty good

So today I completed W6 R3....I even managed a bit of a sprint finish for the final minute. It was a little too warm and I'm still not sure if I should maintain hydration before going out or start to take water with me.... Bit of a pain tho, all that carrying a bottle. I'm running a 6 minute kilometer not sure that's very good but it's comfortable. I listen to 21 Pilots Blurryface album, keeps me going.

Sarah Millican told me today I should consider myself an actual runner.... Given that I spent 50 years not even running for a bus I'll take that 😁😁😁

I think Sarah was taking pity on me but only another 5 minutes and that's the target!... Maybe then I'll rethink my brie view of me as running like an asthmatic penguin

Fantastic! This is my next run but I’ve found R1 &2 so hard I just can’t imagine 25mins! Well done you πŸ‘πŸ™‚

Me too. Struggled with those! Good luck.

I actually found R3 easier than the others, still got a stitch but I kept my rhythm and it went ok.... Good luck with the run, I look forward to you and Welshwitch posting about your success soon....😁😁

hydrate before you go. You shouldn't need to take water with you until you are doing longer runs.

Brilliant, thanks...I didn't feel the need to take a bottle but I didn't know if that was being sensible or not....😁😁

That's my next run. Good to hear it was a bit better than 1&2. Struggled with those sneaky b*****s. Well done for getting through it. I hear it's onwards & upwards from here! Good luck.

You might find you even enjoy R3.... Maybe we've just gotten to the point of not wanting that walking break messing up the rhythm. I did have a stitch at the start and about halfway through, but the deep breathing helped....

Yes I've heard a few people say that. I always did a walk/run combo before this programme & long term runners used to say to me they couldn't do what I did because it was more exhausting- I always thought I couldn't run for long. There you are. Just goes to show.

So if you are running each kilometre in 6 mins - then that is 5k in 30 - pretty speedy (and leave the water behind!)
