Finished week 7 this morning. Reversed my usual route to spice things up a bit and avoid the Hill (slight incline) at the end, with it being a tad warm. The Adam Buxton podcast kept me entertained and when Jo W said ‘that’s it! 25 minutes. Start to slow down to a brisk walk’ I felt ok. I also knew I was only 4-5 minutes from home.
So, I’ve been a stickler for the rules so far but today, my 50th birthday, I thought ‘f*** it. I’m going to run home. So I did. (Don’t try this at home).
I ran for 30 mins total. Just over 5k in 35 mins (with the warm up walk included). And it felt amazing. Yes a red and sweaty finish but a different person to the red and sweaty bloke who started on April 6th and barely made it through the first run. This plan has changed my life.
The plan works. The support on here is incredible. This is now my Go-To place for good news and lifted spirits, you can keep your Facebook. I’m hanging with the runners. A more positive and inspirational bunch you couldn’t hope to find.
Good luck to all fellow c25k’ers wherever you are on your journey. You can do this and it might just change your life too.
And now for champagne!
P.s - back to the rules for w8 on Wednesday. I promise! 😉

Thanks! I’ve tried not to get too obsessed with times and distance but today i just couldn’t resist going for it and was chuffed to get to 5k in the 35 minutes. Not sure l’ll make 5k in 30 by the end of the plan but Hopefully I’ll build up to it with some park runs.
I've just slowly run W9 last week, Graduated, added an extra W9 run and tried one of the first Bridge runs called Speed. Bit of a shock towards the end , running to a pulse in the music proved pretty challenging when it speeded up at the end but feel confident that the previous course has prepared me for this. Going to give it another go on Thursday.....I have always been pretty sport averse so I'm just amazed by the accessibility of the C5K plan .
W9 well done! Not sure I could get on with the running to music beat thing but will give it a go I’m sure! I struggle with regular breathing as it is! Good luck!
Thanks! Yes I was steeling myself for a telling off from oldfloss or iannodatruffe ( I don’t think I’ve spelled that correctly ever.) keep it to yourself...
Totally agree with you. C25K is my new feel good fix! So good to see people achieving their goals and getting assurance that you can do it too 🙂 Big well done for finishing week 7 👏👏
