Hi, I’m new to the group but am on Week 5 of the Couch to 5 K and have completed W5R1. I know this week will challenge me so I thought it was a good time to get some supportive trainers. At the minute I’m in some very old Nike trainers. What I’m looking for are trainers that will support me and help me with running the longer distances that are in my not to distant future! Any advice would be appreciated! Thank you. X

Thank you. Do you recommend any shops to go to for good fitting and gait analysis?
Up and Running (upandrunning.co.uk) are very good, if there is a shop near you. I got both of my most recent pairs of running shoes from them. Sweatshop (sweatshop.com) are apparently good too, but I haven’t tried them.
Do a search for gait analysis in your area, they’ll no doubt be a good independent running shop in your area! Good luck!

I just got a gait analysis. Recommend it but you’re looking at £120 for trainers.
