Trainers
Go to a running shop. They will advise you. They will give you gait analysis (if they don't, go elsewhere.) tell them your budget. Take their advice.
Rignold is spot on. Your feet are your foundation for running, you don't want to end up with ill-fitting shoes, as you will do your body more harm than good. Take along your old trainers so you can feel the difference.
Definitely go to a running store, but I would also recommend Karrimor D30 - they're working great for me and didn't break the bank (unlike a lot of running shoes) ☺️☺️
Very important to get sound advice from well trained staff who are runners themselves & have seen every possible foot shape & gait. Your shoes are the most important part of your running kit!
I would highly recommend going to a store that does gait analysis. They will then guide you as to the best brand / fit for you. I only wish I had done this earlier as I would've avoided a nasty ankle injury caused by poorly fitting trainers.
