Final week

Firstly my apologies for absence from the forum for some time, after I rolled my ankle last October during week 7 I got out of the habit of checking in here!

Anyway my ankle did eventually heal up and start to feel stable again but by that point the grim Northern winter had very definitely set in, meaning before and after work was pitch black, cold and very often raining. I'm not that dedicated 😂

I decided a few weeks ago to start testing how my ankle held up under running by doing a few 2km routes near home. This was tough at first (after the first one I thought I would topple forwards while walking down flights of stairs in the days that followed!) but eventually I started to recover well from those runs and decided to try a week 7 25 minute run which went well.

I've now completed all but the final run of week 9, with yesterday's run being a few minutes longer than 30 to complete my local parkrun in a time of 35:44

To anyone on the IC who's checking in here, be patient and let your body heal, the good times will return 🙂
