It was all going well in my w2r1 until half way through, massive pains in the side of my calf round to my shin, had to stop running and just continue home walking as fast as I could, 3/4 of the way home a bloke felt the need to hang out his window and scream fatty at me, moral was low as it was because of my leg, felt so defeated.
Any ideas what the issue with my leg could be? I can weight bare today, but it’s very stiff and tender around mid calf/shin, next run is tomorrow but I don’t want to risk making it worse and not being able to run for a while?

Some people are sh*ts. Don’t let it get you down. You’ve got more balls than they will ever have. Take an extra day off and see how you feel. Really shouldn’t run on it if it is proper painful. And masking it with painkillers won’t do you any good either. I’m pretty new to this running lark myself so can’t really advise you what might be causing it but I wouldn’t run and risk doing potentially more damage. Hope it’s better soon. Chin up!
Thank you! I won’t let it get me down, I’m proud that I’m doing something for myself, it’s just horrid that we have to deal with these kind of things.
The pain level eased within an hour of stopping running, today it just feels really tight and achy but I’ve not had to take any pain relief and I’ve managed my 10,000 steps on it with no discomfort. To be on the safe side I’ll leave the running over the weekend as I’m away at a business event anyway with my business so probably won’t get the chance. Fingers crossed for Monday.
Thank you so much for the support and kind words and hope your journey is going well?
