Hi fellow runners. I did wk5 r1 on Tues eve and although I completed it I found it tough. My calves have always burnt throughout but this was the only run where I felt still felt it the following day. They are still sore today and worried now for my r2 this evening. Shall I grin and bear it or give it another days rest? I worry if I put it off though I wont do it as its long shift day tomorrow and I wont 'fancy' it. Any thoughts? x

Hi are you doing plenty of stretches before and after and drinking plenty of water though out the day

I would give it a try but if you can’t do much it better than nothing tomorrow is another day you will hit there

Good luck

Hi thanks. I am terrible at drinking water. I don't have anywhere near enough, even when I am running. really need to sort this. I stretch afterwards and use my roller which hits all the spots but I was told nor to stretch cold muscles?

I’ve always done some light stretches before any exercise especially when muscles fell tight
