Really struggled with W6R2 last night. I’d expected it to be fine as it was ‘only’ 10 minutes and I’d done 20 last week. But a combination of a warm evening (highest temp I’d run in), and the route being more uphill than I’d anticipated, meant that I really suffered. Never mind! On to the next run tomorrow- looking forward to longer runs where I can find my (extremely sloooow) rhythm 🐌🐌🐌🐌
First ‘bad’ run: Really struggled with W6R2 last... - Couch to 5K
First ‘bad’ run
I found the first two runs in week 6 difficult. Now I'm in week 7 and not stopping to walk at all its much better! I really don't like running in the heat either and I try to avoid hills.
So well done for completing run 2 and enjoy the longer running!
I’ve just done mine and found it hard in the heat without hills so well done you.
Hi Beth,
Sorry to hear about the bad one. I've not had one like that yet, but I do have a bit of a phobia about gradient...
You're right to approach it as you are, don't carry the burden of a bad outing into your next session.
Good luck.
Well done for getting through it Beth, I remain in awe of all you outdoor types coping with weather variations and (especially) different gradients etc - the hardest I ever have is when I set a 5 deg incline on the treadmill
