W5 R3 done today (big achievement for 68 year old!)

I joined the C25K at Week 4 having somehow managed to download the wrong app (some American thing - very similar but when I got to Week 4 and was suddenly asked for payment to upgrade and continue, I realised I was on the wrong programme!). Anyhow, I was dreading the 20 minute run of W5 R3 as have never done any running before but took everyone's advice and did a slow jog (4.8 mph on a treadmill so no hills and nothing to trip over). The biggest problem was the boredom factor so I will definitely download some podcasts to while away the time a bit better. I hope to finish the programme and then work on building up a little more speed to an actual run and then participate in ParkRuns

Brilliant you give me hope as I am 64 and have never run before. I just finished W5R1 but not looking forward to those longer runs in week 2 and 3. Will try to just take it slow and steady!

Go slow and believe you can do it and you will. Age is just a number remember and running is good for us. Let us know how the W5R3 goes
