Hello, would anyone be able to recommend some cheap-ish running shoes for women? I'm not fussed about labels but would also like to know of any shops in Birmingham. Many thanks.

Welcome to the forum.

If you read the guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5... there is a link to a post designed to make buying shoes easier.

One person's recommendation for running shoes is fairly meaningless, because we are all different and their perfect shoes may be totally inappropriate for you.

Your shoes are the best investment you can make in your health and can protect you from injury.

Do you have a pair of comfortable trainers just to get started in for the first couple of weeks? I did the first 3 week’s in my old trainers and then decided that I wanted to continue running and so went for gait analysis and bought running shoes that were right for me. - They made a big difference to my comfort immediately. I don’t know Birmingham, but I am sure if you search online for shops with running shoes you will find a selection. Good luck! 😀
