Watching this as found my Fitbit has died - I suspect through under use.

I use map my run app. You can also set it to walk or cycle and it gives a good breakdown of speed, distance, elevation etc. Calories burnt too. You can use it simultaneously with c25k and music and as an added bonus it links to weight watchers website and converts to fit points! Hope this helps

MapMyFitness measures all kinds of fitness. I also have a Fitbit Alta HR.

I’d take a look at a Garmin. But also consider what your phone will do for free.

My wife has the Fitbit charge 2 which she loves, but since she has a nickel allergy has discovered she can’t wear. I went for the tomtom gps watch as i wanted to leave my phone at home. The tomtom has great tracking and will hold a couple gb of music which I play through wireless headphones. Cost less than the Charge2 although its health tracking and the app isn’t quite as good as fitbits. There are so many options out there depending on budget and required features.

I have a Jawbone UP move, can pick it up for £12 on Amazon - runs on a watch battery so can pretty much wear it 6 months without taking it off.

I haven’t had it long but it’s the best tracker I’ve ever had and I have sunk a LOT of money into fancy ones.

Only downside is the model I have doesn’t have a heart rate monitor, I believe newer ones do though.

Love my Apple Watch - the daily “close the three rings” objective, the Strava app to track runs, and it plays music too :)

Apple Watch all the way. Have tried them all over the years, and although the Apple Watch is not yet perfect it’s pretty close!

I love my Fitbit. Especially when it added an extra 3,000 steps when we got off the plane yesterday. Lol x

Fitbit will track steps, calories, sleep patterns, heart rate and can link with other people too, also has alarms, clock and displays text messages when your phone is on silent and you are in a meeting 😁 My husband uses the step counter in his phone for free but unless you carry your phone all the time, it won't be as accurate as a Fitbit. I have an Alta HR and love it ;-) My son has a charge and that measures jumping and other additional stuff... Depends what you need really 😁
