I did it!!!! I am so chuffed , I really doubted whether I could or not as I found the 8 mins tough going and thought more than double would be nigh impossible, but it wasn't and I am grinning to myself like a Cheshire cat. It was actually much, much easier than I imagined. My knees started to get a wee bit sore about the 18 minute mark, but it was honestly easier than some of the earlier runs. This programme is amazing and is making me do things that a month ago I would have thought impossible. Looking forward to week 6.

Well done mairi1! Enjoy your Cheshire cat moment! You deserve it! I agree the plan is really good and it has also encouraged me to do things that are new to me, like buying my first ever running shoes! I am hoping for the Cheshire cat moment tomorrow as that is when I plan to run W5R3. Further congratulations and happy running!
Well done! I’m out having a pint or three and I’ll have the next one in your honour. Roll on week 6.
Thanks, enjoy your pint 🍺 or three, I might have a wine or three tomorrow night to celebrate 🎉
Congratulations! What a good feeling! For me it was all about the mental barrier. Not long to go now! 👍👍👍
SEE? Told you you could do it! Well done!
Aw thanks, I really had my doubts, but it was a lot easier than I thought it would be, I’m on the verge of enjoying it. 😂
Well done on completing the milestone run.
Watch out for W6R1..........it catches many out.
Keep running, keep smiling.
Oh you go girl, well done Mairi, never doubted it though. Enjoy the feeling and the smiling. You've earnt a wine. Week 6 is now upon us, yeeha.
Aw thanks, week 6, bring it on. Lol.although we have to watch out for run 1 and probably all the others lol. Good luck 😉 to you , when are you doing R1? I am having two days off and going for it on Monday.
Sunday morning doing w6r1. I too have 2 days rest between finishing and starting a new week. Yes I have been reading posts bout this tricky run so will continue to follow oldfloss's advice, slow and steady and Ian's advice" hydrate". Can't believe the amount of water I now drink and I'm sure it is responsible for some positive changes in my skin and general well being. I am feeling really positive but have to admit I still feel like i'm going really slow and although I want to pick up my pace I'm scared I'm not ready yet. I guess plenty of time to worry about speed. We're doing good Mairi
I think we are doing brilliantly, I am going really slowly and as you say, plenty of time to build up speed, I’m just delighted 😀 that I am managing the runs at all! Good luck for Sunday,
Very well done, that’s my run in the morning, so encouraging to hear how well you got on
