W1r1 done this morning can’t say I enjoyed it. I think I need to try paths instead of a natural walkway around our nature reserve. I’ll try it again tho. 😊

Well done, first one in the bag. It will get better...
Thank you I hope so. I’ll try a different route but repeat r1
No need to repeat it if completed. Believe me, the programme works. You will find that as you run further and longer, once you pass the 10 minute stage, it will feel easier, not get harder. Once I understood this, I felt well prepared for each run. Much of this programme is psychological as your body takes care of itself. Good luck. Ps this forum will help you keep going when you feel less motivated or concerned about your progress.
No repeat needed if you completed the run...move on
Definitely try it on nice smooth flat paths first. And re the remark above, I repeated nearly all the runs as I wanted to run every day. I found it absolutely fine. I gave myself a rest day before stepping up the the next week.
Not a great idea to repeat a run and skip any rest day.... rest days on the plan are non negotiable... hidden injuries are just that..hidden...
Exactly, the training program says you have to do it 3 times a week before going on to the next round, so if you do it on a Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday you actually have two rest days before the next round.
I am now on round 2, just completed run one of it, my "week" starts on a Wednesday, two days off, then Saturday and Monday.

Check this out... take it steady and slow and keep posting... with some more of the lovely photos from your route
Very well done...
Please, do not run on consecutive days..it is the way to the Injury Couch
Hey bagpuss I I'm on week 2 just finished 2r1 I found running on uneven ground is definitely more tiring than on a tarmac path. I'm lucky live next door to a large park lots of good paths can definitely tell the difference between tarmac and off road.. anyway well done you the first one is a bugger.. I ran for over 90 seconds 6 times today not saying it was easy but it was definitely doable a couple of weeks ago you would not have got 30 seconds out of me! Keep going..
Hi bagpuss57, just a line to let you know : WE ALL FOUND IT TOUGH!!! Keep on going in a couple of weeks you'll be looking forward to the next run, promise. Tip: try doing some short bursts of high intensity (bike, swimming etc. on your days off - it really pays dividends) example: fast as you can for 30 secs, 1 min gentle for 10 mins, when able increase to a minute or increase number of repetitions. Give it a try, knock it on the head if it doesn't help. Best of luck😀😀😀
