First runs in Stability shoes

Hi all. My first two runs in stability shoes is causing my left arch some discomfort during and after my run. Just an obvious pressure the shoe exerts on that arch is felt during run. I’ve been in contact with the gait specialist that recommended the type of shoe, and they are convinced this is the type of shoe I need and of the opinion that I need to run bit more for foot to get used to the added support. I just want a general consensus of this opinion from the forum please? Makes sense to me, there is an added firmness in shoe my foot not used to as yet. Ps my left foot arch is lower than right, probably why it is affected more.
