Only 15 minutes today so will try again tomorrow.

I've been happily doing 20 mins plus. Last run was 26 mins a couple of days ago but today it was either tiredness, sinuses, not enough food or unaccustomed warmth. No energy whatsoever so decided to make do with the rather unsatisfactory short slog. Usually I can just take a few long breaths in and regain my energy but it didn't work . Still trying to shake off the last vestiges of a throat infection so maybe that's it. I am trying to up my runs a bit per week as it is easy to lose a regular pattern if I don't do it often enough. I'll report back tomorrow if I manage it. If not I shall try the next day. Good luck to everyone else today. xx

Thanks for that Oldfloss. I think I just was knackered yesterday for different reasons. I would never normally have the energy and my joints would complain to do two consecutive days. I've read this helpful article and need to drink more fluids especially now weather warming up. I would say that I am very affected by warm weather and in fact struggle to exercise at all mid summer although I did manage a park run in the blazing heat a few years ago. I'm generally pleased with my increasing fitness but just have to be aware that there are days when it is best to not push myself. All the best.
