Pass me the medal

I did it, 9 weeks competed and 5km run in 32 mins! Unbelievably proud of my body and myself this. I have struggled with post natal depression on and off for years and this has helped my mental health so much. I am stronger than I’ve been for years and I can run 5k! So 10K I’m coming for ya!

Well done! You can claim your badge in the pinned posts..

The time for you, a new runner is speedy, would recommend you just consolidate 30 min runs for a few weeks at least, then 5ks for a while, in time you can gradually increase to 10k, maybe using juju's plan.

If the pace and distance is increased too early there's a higher risk of injury occuring.

Thanks, certainly doesn’t feel speedy . I wanted to do a 10K race in July , is that too soon? Was going to build slowly on 5km and go from there. I have downloaded next app to go from 5 to 10K

Go for it and enjoy! listen to your body though, try and build slowly, running legs do take a while to develope, some 2-3 years..😊
