I had to hose my muddy trainers yesterday. So it’s a good job it’s freezing cold today so I can have the radiators on and try to get them dry for my first post graduation run tomorrow 😂

I usually let them dry, having taken out the insoles and stuffed the shoes with newspaper. Then just brush all the mud off, unless they are going to get muddy again at the parkrun, in which case I brush enough off the soles to bring me down to my normal height :)

Good idea Sue. I must admit I hosed them off and then forgot about them till I tripped over them at lunchtime. I think I’ll use your method next time.

I’ve just checked them and I will have dry feet tomorrow - at least when I start off 😄

Drying naturally is the recommendation for running shoes. Stuffing with newspaper wicks out the moisture very rapidly.

Oh so no newspaper then 🤔.

Oh I’ve just reread your comment, you mean newspaper is good, I think 😊.
