AM vs PM running

The snow has given way to torrents of water so I have done my 2nd run of the week this afternoon and got soaking feet, foot rot could set in at this rate!. BUT it was so much harder ..could it be time of day I usually run first thing. Today I got a stitch, first one, generally found it more difficult and now after the run a little shaky. I did it though

Can be lots of things. Did you drink enough fluids yesterday and today?

Eaten the right foods?

I generally get stitches when not getting enough oxygen in. Were you maybe rushing a bit to get out of the rubbish weather?

Either way, you did it!! Well done! 👍😁

Fluids that could be it, I've rushed around all day and not drank or eaten enough. i will try to slow my breathing down to get deeper breaths if that make sense, i possibly was panting too much

I usually run first thing but went after work today and struggled to finish...but good to mix it up a bit. I reckon I hadn’t had enough water and also still full of chocolate and red wine from the weekend!

all a learning curve

It's a great learning curve, the good, the bad and the ugly with a million nuances of each (I think it's what keeps us going). The hydration thing is the biggie though - I find it easy in the week, bottle on desk, but at the weekend oops.

For me -- it's the food in my stomach. I am very accustomed to AM running , always before breakfast. Any other time that I have attempted to run in the PM, it is never successful for me and I am convinced that it is because I have undigested food in my stomach.
