Well the potato got off the couch last week and completed week one. I didn't think this mid 50s grandma could start running but I did it! To be honest I haven't run since I was a toddler. So week 2 begins and got through the first run yay!

Congratulations, oldladyruns. I love the name by the way but I think we’ve been misled; 50-something is YOUNG! πŸ˜€

Thats great to hear because I actually feel quite embarrassed for some reason ..running early so no one sees me

Don’t let this put you off Being a lady of more mature years means you don the cloak of invisibility 😎

very true, luckily we live in a remote area so unlikely for anyone to pass me unless you are a sheep or cow, unluckily if anyone does pass because they will know me.

Well done! As a fellow 50 something who hadn't run for over 35 years I find this program very worthwhile. Keep going!

Brilliant!! You're on the right path! You'll be amazed where this programme will take you πŸ‘πŸ˜

I really can't believe I am actually doing it!

You’re not old - I checked according to the United Nations web site, they describe older people as being over 60, and even then they say that the 60+ definition is up for debate given increasing longevity. My GP said 50 was the new 40, so that’s almost toddlerish...

Good luck with the rest of W2 (from an older runner than you but one who is definitely aiming at the new 40 age bracket)
