Well after completing my 3rd run after graduation. I am steadily increasing my distance. I am contemplating doing my first 5k Park Run. But not sure how to go about this.
As always the strava link bellow

Hi just go online and register, wait for your welcome , follow the instructions to print off your barcode and voile you’re ready to go on Saturday. Don’t worry about how long it will take or being the last to finish because no one will mind they will wait for you. I did my first parkrun on Saturday, yes I struggled a bit and walked some of it but I did it. So on Friday evening get all your kit laid out ready and go for it. Please let me know how you got on . Oh! by the way you’ll never be thelast one over the finish line as ther is always a back runner/walker behind you. I was runner number 279 over the line and the back marker was 280 SO!! the only way is up (ha ha)
Enjoy it and keep going slowly and smile
Yes good advice given.
Normally give the first timers a short brief before the start.🤔
Really look after you and make you welcome.
I have only done one.👍Great.👍Got good advice from a friend .🤔
After your briefing , if you wish , just go to the rear, and find your own pace and get into your own groove and through the initially sticky phase and enjoy.
There are very accomplished fliers, just let them go,it is for all abilities and you get huge encouragement from everyone.
Enjoy.🌟👏👏
Looking at your strava it doesn’t look as though Parkrun should hold any fears for you! Go and enjoy!
Your Strava tells me your pace is fantastic - just register as Not2old2run says, print off your bar code and you will be fine. There’s usually a place t drop off any extra kit/clothing if it’s not so local to where you live. And at my local one the coffee and cake stop afterwards is lovely.
Hope you enjoy it
