Two Years On...!

It’s been a long time since I’ve posted anything, mainly because I restarted C25K on Valentines Day this year and completed a couple of weeks ago. Hugely addictive this running lark and get quite twitchy if I am unable to do a run. I love it more than I ever did before. Managed to do a 6k this afternoon, albeit at a slow and steady pace because I was told to stop running last September because of this thing called Ischial Bursitis (inflamed/damaged area at the top of my hamstring) Physio told me not to run and believe me, when I was told that, I went into the doldrums. Having got to where I was... well. After months of treatment, they could do no more. Then GP then said, if it hurts don’t do it, and go back to running if ok. Which I did! Referral to MSK at hospital this week. So hence why I’m going slowly and not up hills. Pace today was 7.31 /km in 41 mins.

Sorry that I’ve gone on a bit, but I am just sooooo happy to be out there running again.

It must feel great to be out there again. Take it easy and look after yourself. Rfc x.

Thanks for sharing your happiness. I admire your staying power. I know the disappointment of not being able to run and the joy of being able to start again - it's a great feeling.
