Bad runner but had to be done

Ok peeps, yes I know i told you to nag me as wanted to keep up with the running this year, and yes i know I have failed big time, and been absent for months , but much as I was loving it life took over. Yes, it is no excuse to not get out there, but this year, my focus was my daughters wedding, 4 tiers of wedding cake - (cupcakes my thing, no problem, can do those with my eyes shut!) but large cakes, icing techniques and macarons proved to be a massive challenge, but yesterday it all came together, and I am bursting with pride. I give you my beautiful daughter on her special day, and I am not ashamed to say that she had to come first! My most important job is being a mum 😊

Looks like a lovely day and the cake looks amazing - I have made cakes for two daughters so far so I know how much love and time goes in to it. Sometimes life gets in the way which is all to the good - but running is still lurking there - listen to the siren call and get your running shoes on soon!!

Love, time, a few tears and a lot of 🤬🤬 at times! Wouldn’t change it for anything though..running will still be there, just have to start over, but have all the time in the world.

I know...give me a week to get over it all though eh? The week leading up to yesterday was manic, the flaming macarons kept failing, finally got the perfect batch on Thursday!! But, I promise I will be back, and I will be dragging mr p with me!! 😊

Oh you’re allowed at least the same amount of time as the bride and groom’s honeymoon... you know the phrase the honeymoon is over...

Beautiful photo you must be very proud and the cake looks awesome - I agree family comes first and you wouldn't have enjoyed the running thinking you have other things that need to be done. Enjoy returning to some normality then start the running again 😀
