Ever since graduating in November, the new me has been looking forward to running by the sea. And today was the day.
Lovely early morning trot from beach to beach taking in the harbour on the way. Turns out the new me has great running instincts and she's planned three more runs while we're here! π

As someone who lives farthest from the sea in every direction, I had this urge to run by the sea. My first chance was thwarted as I was injured so I walked my planned route in gorgeous bamburgh
Since then iβve managed to run in Saltburn,Redcar and Morecambe bay. Oh and Humberston, although while I ran I couldnβt see the flipping sea at all for the entire 42 miles π torture π€¨
Excellent! I thought it was Cornwall, I have some coastal Parkrun tourism planned, one is at Minehead along the prom, where I'm on holiday next month, and Pegwell bay Parkrun which is a country park apparently with views of the sea, and a couple down on the south coast, but they are quite a long drive from where I live..
Is that St Ives? My mum lives in Hayle and my absolute fave running place is along the long beach there and up to the lighthouse. If you look across from where you took that pic you can see where I run. Enjoy your running there, itβs the best isnβt it. Look after your Achilles and rest when you get back, itβs tough going on the sand.... well done!
Yes St Ives - love it down here. Very envious at you having relatives in Hayle. Didn't do the whole run on sand (didn't think my legs would hold up!) but inspiring to run with such a view.
