It’s ‘faffy Friday’ again...had my running kit on all day...kids off, Daddycav off...they’re working on the ‘Garden project’ that started today...a pond & water feature!! I pottered about, tidying, polishing, wiping vaccing etc....so snatched a run about 5pm...well...I did 5 min warm up, with no instruction today, just my music...it started spitting...but I like rain, I can run in rain....then the spitting turned to rain...proper rain...then it turned into chubby rain....I kept on...trying to run, I could taste my moisturiser my face was that wet...I couldn’t really see 10 steps in front of me, but I carried on...then the rain turned to hailstone!!!!whaaaaaat??? It was sunny this morning!!! Why now??? So I stopped and walked...the hailstone felt like someone was throwing needles at me!!!! Ouch!! I was the wettest I have ever been in my life but do you know what?? I giggled...I giggled to myself because I was wet, wetter then wet!! I couldn’t feel my limbs!!! I must be mad!!!! everything was white with hailstone, I was the only person walking, people in cars were looking at me with a perplexed face!!! I cannot tell you how wet I was but it’s nothing that can’t be fixed by a warm shower & a glass of wine....take two tomorrow...poss park run, who knows?! When I opened my front door the warmth was like a n instant blanket wrapping itself around me... Happy Easter my lovely running family...hope the easter bunny is good to you & the weather is not so cruel!!! xx

A glass of wine always helps!! Can’t tell you how soaked I was ...but it made me chuckle, I must be mental?!! But determined!!! I kept trying to run but the hail was hitting my face hard....sideways!!!

When you’re wet you can’t get wetter, so you just keep running. You have to laugh. It makes you feel so alive though doesn’t it 😁😃👍🏃‍♀️

It makes you appreciate home comforts. Warm house, hot bath 🛀 , cuppa tea ☕️

The faffing - a secret plot to be comfy in running gear all day??!! (I used to do exactly the same in cycling gear when my kids were teenagers!) Great post Mummycav! I love the “chubby rain” - but hail... oh no & ouch! Happy Easter, happy running!😄
