Hi

I've downloaded the app and want to start but I'm very overweight and struggle just walking up a hill!! I desperately want to do something about my fitness but not sure this is the way to go? I've been doing yoga since Christmas and have really enjoyed that. Need something more aerobic now... help!!

Good for you. Don’t be nervous, just start. Why not spend a few days walking at a fast pace first. Walk as fast as you can for 30 to 40 minutes each day. After a couple of weeks you will get the courage to start the plan. The plan starts off with intervals between walking and running. The running pace just needs to be a pace faster than your fastest walking pace.

Spend 2 weeks walking as fast as you can every day. Then give the plan a go. As Nike day Just do it.

Stick with it you’ve taken the first step. Good idea to walk first and that’s what I did to build up my stamina and I think it really strengthened my legs so I can now run. No doubt I’d never win a race but I am amazed how well I have managed so far and you can too. Best of luck and keep posting your journey 🏃🏼‍♀️😀

Please give this a try.

Follow the instructions to the letter and trust in the program.

Don’t look ahead just celebrate what you achieve each week. I got there. You will too!!

I couldn’t run for 1 minute on January 6th and yesterday I ran 6km.

I’ll admit I’m not overweight but I was very unfit and couldn’t walk uphills without struggling for breath.

Don’t worry if you don’t complete a session. Call it a practice and try again in 2 days. Listen to people on here too. They helped me through.

Welcome. Find yourself a flat route and try it. I'm overweight and this is what i did. I have now graduated. I still cannot run up a hill though...but I'm working on it. Give it a go, you might surprise yourself. Good luck with your running journey.

Walk at first and let yourself get used to it, don't put a distance or time at the begining just go as far as you can. Then when you feel ready, up the pace a little. You need to let your body get used to this to begin with, once you feel more comfortable and confident then you can start to go further.

Good luck to you.

You are in the right place.

Please read and absorb the information in the guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5....

You may need to build up to C25K, but it only requires you to do a very gentle jog for short duration to start with.

Countless thousands in exactly your position have transformed their lives with this plan and so can you.

Keep us posted, we are your secret weapon for success.
