Welcome.

This guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5... gives you all the basic advice and is hopefully worth reading in full.

Clothing..........layers for cold weather, but dress for a temperature about 5 degrees warmer than it actually is...........you will warm up.

Footwear.......for the first few weeks any lightweight shoes, preferably trainers, will do and frankly you are better off not going out and buying running shoes until you know you are going to stick with it, but then they are your most important bit of kit.

Enjoy your journey.

Whatever you are comfortable with. There are no rules. Running specific , not cotton

cotton isn't great if it's thick but I honestly find thin cotton is fine as long as you get out of it when it's sweaty afterwards. My brother runs in regular old t-shirts. I wear thin cotton leggings if my nice bamboo activewear is in the wash.

Also, a sports bra!

Thank you for your advice. I have a sports bra in my bra size but it's hard to dit in it. Can't find any bigger sizes in shops I'll try online. Thanks again

There’s plenty of larger sizes. We discussed this subject the other day if you want to scroll down to have a look-see

Boobydoo and Sportsdirect both had bigger sizes

I get unbelieveably warm running. Even in this cold weather, I go out in a jacket, leggings (3/4), sleeveless top and running shoes and come back with the jacket tied around my waist even in the snow. Then I see other runners bundled up with scarves! Everyone is different so it might take a bit of trial and error. Once you get going though, the shoes are the most important thing as old shoes or daps could do you a heck of an injury
