W6R3 done - on the home strait now

Very strange week. Run 1 was the hardest but looked the easiest, run 2 was hard and run 3 wasn't so bad, covered about 3.8km in 25 minutes

Seems like a walk in the park now to tack another 5 minutes onto that run time in 3 weeks of running, my goal is to actually make 5k pace by graduation. I feel at the end of week 7 I'll be running the 25 mins at the pace I need to make 5k in 30 mins (I know it's not all about the distance but I think I can do it)

Week 6 was probably the hardest week, but I think it will be relatively smooth sailing from here onwards. Remember when you jumped from 8 minutes to 20 minutes in week 5? Running 25 minutes 3 times then adding another 3 minutes onto that doesn't sound like a challenge

So I can see the finish line in sight, I think once I graduate I will not have the motivation to run 3 times a week but instead run once a week and just keep trying to run different routes and longer distances to maintain my fitness. This combined with a kickboxing class a week should keep me in good shape

I know when I started this journey I wouldn't even bother reading the posts above week 5 because I was like - THEY'RE RUNNERS, I'm not, so reading about them running 25 minutes isn't going to make me feel any better about running for a minute and a half. but here I am now, one of the runners

Think I ran this 25 minutes better than the 20 minute run at the end of week 5. better breathing and wasn't as knackered by the finish.

Everyone can run, thanks for reading

I too ran W6 R3 today. It was my second go at it. This was the first that stumped me. I enjoyed week 5. It just goes to show how different we all are and how we’re all learning as we make our way through. 😊. Good luck on your quest!

How far did you get the first time around? I think it's really an environmental thing some days your head is in it and some days you're just doing it because it's a routine - at least for me anyway.

I got 1 minute after half way but I had an empty stomach and was dehydrated. I run on a treadmill at home for the moment.
