Running belts (again, sorry!)

I read a post about belts the other day but now I can’t find it again!

I’m looking for one for my house brick phone (iPhone 6+) and it doesn’t fit in all the ones I’ve seen so far.

What ones would you recommend?

Thank you very much x

Perhaps a regular bumbag would work? I've just bought an arm holder for mine- no idea if it'll fit or what it will feel like

I had an armband one (my new phone was then too big!!) but I actually wasn’t that comfy with it.

Been using a regular bumbag but it’s a bit sweaty and it moves a fair bit one way or another!

I have one like this amazon.co.uk/FREETOO-Runnin...

Which I have run with a few times and has done the trick. But I don't usually take my phone as I just take a small ipod nano for tunes so don't use it much. It does keep it neatly flat against your midriff, different bodyplans may like this less than others though hehe.

I need my phone so Jo can keep encouraging me! Plus I like Strava!

That brand is one I’d read on here, so thanks!

I have a samsung s6 edge plus, so also a huge phone and couldn't countenance having it on the arm. I think a regular bumbag would be too big/rattly for my needs so this seemed the best solution. I will probably use it more as the weather improves, currently I run with a soft jacket/top second layer which has handy pockets for stuff. When I lose the jacket the bag will become more useful.

I have this one as well and it fits my HTC U11 perfectly which is similar size to a 6+

Is there a Decathlon near you. They have a complete range of running bags from big enough for phone and keys to running across Death Valley type waistcoat (well, not quite but you know what I mean). They also have a pair of shorts with a phone size pocket in the small of the back which I found really comfortable, as long as you don't want to look at your phone whilst running.

The one I saw in Decathlon was too small...maybe I should’ve looked around more!!

I’m not ready for shorts yet, think I need to run more and grow to love my legs!! Haha

The ronhill tights and capris have bigger pockets and inserts in the legs to shove things down 👍

yep you can get a small loaf, 2 pints of milk and a half dozen eggs in there :P

We talking side pockets here? I need me some side/leg pockets before it gets too warm for my beloved winter tights (which have an epic pocket) and all I've been able to find in stores are those interior "key" type pockets! If you could point me to specific ones that definitely have them, I would be stoopid grateful :D

Ronhill cargo contour ladies trail running tights. Two side slide pockets, an expanding back pocket and gel loops which you can loop your top or run jacket through etc

Since I've already told you once this week that I love you, can we just take that as read going forward?! :P Seriously, you've made me really happy with that info, thank you muchly! :)

I use a Flipbelt which I am really liking. It has pockets around the entire circumference for anything you need. I have an iphone 6 which fits nicely. There is also a curved water bottle that you can get to store in the back pocket. Here is a link to see it:

The flip belt is very stretchy and can fit lots of stuff close to your body, safely and securely including the larger phones.

I like the look of those really slim ones...but more expensive though! Hmm, decisions decisions...🤔

I got a really good one from Tiger surprisingly. Doesn’t move as I run like my sports direct one did 😂 and holds my phone, door card and keys with room for more 😊.

My Tiger sold out of them all! :( (That is a really odd sentence out of context. LOL)

This was the post: healthunlocked.com/couchto5...... from lagatachocolate

Following on from what I said there, I have actually tried my flip style belt now (super cheap from Ebay, same concept as the Tiger et al ones)! :) I went with get it good and large because that's how I roll and hoped I could wear it around my hips as figured that would be more comfortable. Well, it was too loose for my waist, so I thought that would make the hip idea perfect... Except it rides up as you progress. Then despite being plenty loose around the old waist, still made my bladder go "Yeah, not keen on this" for some time. Have no idea if that helps or hinders your choice?!? :O
