Did my first run today. And my thighs hurt! Did I enjoy it? Hmmmm. Not sure. Will I be doing it again on Wednesday? Yes. I owe it to myself - and the running gear I bought especially.

Welcome. One run at a time, and before you know it you’ll be running for 30 minutes. It’s hard to believe on day 1 but it’s true. Good luck and enjoy your running journey.

It took me around 5-6 weeks of running three times a week before I started enjoying the running itself. Maybe a week or two before that there were fleeting moments of enjoying it, when the sun shone and the fields looked particularly lovely. But it takes me about a month every time I come back to running to enjoy more then the feeling of having been for a run...

Keep going, your progress is visible right from the earliest weeks. You can do this!

Welcome to this brilliant programme. Believe in yourself and take it slow and steady is the best advice I can share 👏

Congratulations on your first run, don't let the sore aching legs of week one put you off the program, we've all been there and sympathise with you 100%. Trust the program and believe in yourself!!!

Good heavens, yes! You have to get a return on your capital investment! It isn't always enjoyable at the time, though. But when you start to feel fitter you really understand why you're doing it. Good luck and happy running.

Well done for starting! I'm still not sure I enjoy the actual running but like the anticipation and reviewing my stats afterwards.

lol, so much yes! For the first few weeks I definitely liked the feeling of having been for a run so much more than any moment of the running. And even now I spend so much time looking forward to my next run, or feeling happy that I've been for a run, so it's definitely A Very Good Thing :)

Welcome and well done getting started. 😄

I began by enjoying the sense of achievement ( and astonishment that I could follow the program). I very gradually grew into enjoying the running itself. You are at the start of an exciting adventure! 😀
